Diane Carter never expected her folklore degree to get her a job offer from the local police department, but when a rash of occult-themed fires sets the city on edge, she is called in as a special consultant on esoteric religion to help find the culprit. there’s just one problem: the woman she’s assigned to work with. She’s cocky, beautiful, and far too familiar. Can Diane and Jackie overcome the obstacles of their past and find the truth? The 1980s – This is the Dark New Age, a time when belief in paranormal powers was mainstream and parents feared that their children would be kidnapped by Satanic cults or seduced by the evils of role-playing games. Interactive mystery – Play minigames to search crime scenes for clues or interrogate suspects for insights, accessible either through mouse or keyboard/controller.

Multiple Perspectives – Play as both Jackie and Diane to uncover different information about the past and present. Lesbian Romance – Develop a relationship between adult women.  I must it that I was slightly disappointed by the length of the game, as it was slightly less than three hours long. However, I have been told that I’m a fast reader, and I typically play branching Visual Novels. Keep in mind that this is more of a Kinetic Visual Novel with the occasional choice asking your opinions on the mystery. I’m not sure if it’s possible to fail. Every other facet of the game is wonderful though. Literally my only complaint is that I wish it had been longer. The story is engaging, the artwork is beautiful, and the UI is easy and intuitive. Like all Hanako Games, it has a skip feature, gallery, and other inclusions you would expect from a Visual Novel. The mini game is simple, but I enjoyed it.
