Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver. Everyone has a story, and in the course of one night in Nivalis, everything will change. Cloudpunk is an open world, cyberpunk, exploration story driven game in the voxel art style. You play as Rania, a new Delivery driver for the company Cloudpunk. You have to deliver packages without asking questions and without missing a delivery. Obviously that’s not going to happen. The game is about the stories of the people living in this Cyberpunk Metropolis (Nivalis) that is bursting at its seams.
The one thing I would say is that the writing was clunky at times (might’ve been a matter of translation though) and the voice acting is a mixed bag. I also didn’t like that the final decision did not reaaally need all the buildup. The quests are used to show you the city and their characters, but that is not really necessary to make your final decision, at least imo.
I felt a disconnect between the final decision and the rest of the story, but this is mostly a nitpick. If you want to play a moody walking simulator (cause this is basically what this is and I don’t mean that in a bad way) with a sci-fi theme, this is for you. You should bring some patience though. The game doesn’t have any mechanical depth and has basically no action to speak of, so if you’re expecting that, this is not that kind of game. I also felt like it got quite repetitive after a while.
